WHAT IS WORK? TYPE OF WORK

WHAT IS WORK? TYPE OF WORK:-Hello Friends, yourstudynotes.com में आपका एक बार फिर से स्वागत है आज हम इस Post के जरिये बताने जा रहे है work or Type of work और इन में क्या Difference है तो बने रहिये हमारी इस Post के साथ!

The Work:-

The work done by a constant force is measured as the product of the magnitude of the force and the displacement covered by the body in the direction of force.

work= Force x displacement

w= F.S

OR

[ w= F.Scosθ]

Its S.I Unit is joule and Dimensional formula NL2T-2

There are three type of work :-

  1. Positive work

  2. Negative work

  3. Zero work

Positive work:-

When the force and the displacement are in the same direction are they make acute angle with each other the work done is side to be positive.

ω=FScosθ

θ=0°

ω=FScos0

[ω=FS]

Negative Work:-

When the force and displacement are directed in opposite direction as they make an obtuse angle with each other the work done be negative.

ω=FScosθ

θ=180°

ω=FScos180°

=-FS]

 Zero Work:-

When the displacement and force are mutually perpendicular or no displacement is produce in a body by applied force then the work done is zero.

  ω=FScosθ

θ=90°

ω=FScos90°

[ ω=0]

Difference between positive, Negative  and Zero work

Positive work:-

The work is said to be positive when the force and displacement are in the same direction or make acute with each other.

The energy of body increase

Negative Work:-

The work done is side to be negative when the force and displacement are just in opposite direction or make obtuse angle with each other.

The energy of body decrease.

Zero Work:-

The work done is zero if the force and displacement are acting in mutually perpendicular or no displacement is produce by the force.

The energy of body remains no change.
